Fresh out of high school I decided I wanted to take a gap year before heading off to college and during that time off I lived in Morocco for a short season. I fell in love with the people, culture, and aesthetics of the country. That experience has never left me and Morocco has held a special place in my heart ever since. This moroccan style shoot has been a long time coming for me. I guess you could even call it a passion project of sorts. I wanted to take all my fondest memories of the country and turn that into an inspiration shoot for a modern day wedding. Believe it or not these photos were taken in California near the boarder of Mexico. If I wasn’t there myself I’d be a bit skeptical but believe it or not California is home to some endless sand dunes much like the ones over seas. Enjoy!
It’s the little details from this shoot that make me smile.
My incredible production team dragged this massive tent all the way into the dunes. It was a dream to style all the little details for our lucky bride and groom.
We gave Sweet and Saucy a picture of the wedding dress as inspiration. I think they nailed it, don’t you?
Primary Petals again knocked it out of the park with this stunning bouquet. I love working with the team of designers we have over there.
Last but certainly not least Fourth Films put together yet another incredible video to capture the day. There were moments of pure silence out on the dunes and all you could hear was the wind and the sand. I love how they incorporated that little detail into the video!
